Karla WAY JEWELLERY
Made in Melbourne
Each piece is handcrafted in my East Brunswick, Melbourne studio using the lost wax technique, a process that allows for the kind of texture, detail, and considered form that defines my work.
A selection of pieces is available in the online shop and at The Fortunae Jewellery Studio showroom. Bespoke commissions are the work I love most, and I'm open by appointment to view the collection or talk through a commission.
My work is inspired by the natural sciences and the systems we use to understand the world. Textures drawn from fur, tree bark, rock formations, and lunar surfaces run through the rings, earrings, necklaces, and bangles I make. Forms are sometimes distinct, sometimes abstracted, always open to interpretation.
Each piece is an exploration of texture and transformation, made to be worn, carried, and treasured.

"I honestly look at my gorgeous ring all the time and it brings me so much joy. I can’t believe how beautifully the stones catch the light and throw warm hues through the setting. You’ve completely nailed the brief and brought to life a ring that I was envisaging for over 5 years - I’m so glad that after 2 years of following you on instagram I bit the bullet and decided to trust you with my little gift to self... Im planning towards ring #2!"
"We feel lucky to have rings created by an artist like Karla. Her work has something like magic about it, our rings look like they sprung out of nature, they were created with care and artistry and shine with durability, we know we will love them forever. Karla provided a professional and personal service when creating our custom pieces, we recommend her work whenever our rings are complemented which is often. Thank you!"
"Working with Karla to create our dream engagement and wedding band was such a delight. Karla knew how important it was for us to create pieces that captured the essence of our relationship and identity, while also paying special tribute to my grandma's precious stones, and that could still be worn daily. The final pieces truly are our dream jewels."
